59th edition of the traditional goat fair of Céré-la-Ronde with flea market and car boot sale
The Goat Fair of Céré-la-Ronde is a centuries-old tradition held every last Sunday of October. This 59th edition combines a flea market, car boot sale, autumn market, and rural entertainment in this village of Lochois near the Château de Montpoupon.
The Goat Fair of Céré-la-Ronde is one of the oldest rural fairs in Indre-et-Loire. Every last Sunday of October for nearly 60 years, the village comes alive around this tradition that celebrates goat farming, very present in the south of Touraine. The flea market and car boot sale play an important role in the fair, with numerous exhibitors offering antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, books, tools, toys, clothing, rural objects, antique linens, and curiosities. The autumn market complements the stalls with local products.
Céré-la-Ronde (37460) is a village in Lochois, located between the castles of Montpoupon and Montrésor, in a hilly landscape of hedgerows and woods. The Château de Montpoupon, a medieval fortress housing a hunting museum, is a few kilometers away. The village is at the heart of a farming region — goats, cows — and mixed farming typical of this southern Touraine. The church and old tuffeau farms form a heritage ensemble representative of the Touraine countryside.
The Goat Fair combines a flea market, producers' market, rural entertainment, and tasting of Touraine goat cheeses. Catering on site. Admission is free.
The Goat Fair of Céré-la-Ronde returns on October 25, 2026.
