Every year in spring, Hochfelden Dettwiller Handball (HDH) organizes its major annual flea market within the grounds of the Hochfelden Aquatic Center. On Sunday, May 24, 2026, from early morning, dozens of exhibitors will set up around the aquatic center to offer visitors a wide range of antiques, dishes, books, toys, clothing, small furniture and trinkets. A long-awaited event for all bargain hunters of the Hochfelden area and the Bas-Rhin plain.

A handball club serving its town

HDH Handball, born from the merger of the Hochfelden and Dettwiller clubs, is a major sports institution in northern Bas-Rhin. Founded in 1987, the club keeps local handball alive with numerous youth and senior teams and actively participates in the community life. Organizing this annual flea market is one of the financial and social highlights of the club's season, bringing together volunteers, families and supporters around a popular event open to all.

Hochfelden, brewing capital of Bas-Rhin

A town of over 3,800 inhabitants between Strasbourg and Saverne, Hochfelden is world-famous as the birthplace of the Meteor brewery, the last independent family brewery in Alsace.
