Every summer, the commune of Pontarion hosts the Grande Brocante des Pompiers, an event that has become a true institution in the Creuse flea market scene. Organized by the Amicale des Sapeurs-Pompiers of Pontarion, this event takes over the Place de l'Église and the adjacent village streets for an entire day dedicated to treasure hunting and finds.

A paradise for bargain hunters and collectors

The Pontarion flea market is distinguished by the diversity and quality of the items offered. Exhibitors, both private individuals and professionals, present a wide range of treasures: antiques, cartophily (old postcards), philately, numismatics, antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, and collectibles of all kinds. This richness attracts visitors from far beyond the department's borders, making this event one of the busiest flea markets in Creuse.

The firefighters ensure the logistical organization, welcome exhibitors from the early morning, and manage the refreshment and food stands on site, guaranteeing a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the day.
