A Spring Car Boot Sale in the Heart of the Thaurion

Every first Sunday of May, the Janaillat stadium hosts its annual car boot sale, organized by the festival committee of this commune of 650 inhabitants nestled between Guéret and Bourganeuf. From 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the stadium aisles fill with stalls offering second-hand items, crockery, toys, clothes, books, and trinkets of all kinds.

Janaillat, a Creuse Village Between Valleys and Forests

Crossed by the Thaurion, a tributary of the Vienne, the commune of Janaillat offers a hilly landscape typical of central Creuse. Its granite hamlets, hiking trails, and chestnut woods make up a preserved rural setting. The parish church, with its characteristic porch-bell tower, bears witness to the religious heritage of this territory located at the gates of the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Natural Park.

The pitch is charged at 2 euros per linear meter. Registration is recommended to guarantee a good spot. The stadium offers a flat, grassy area, ideal for setting up stalls.
