The Grand Autumn Car Boot Sale ARCM at Closiers Lake

Organized by the Amicale du Réveil de la Chaussée de Montargis (ARCM), this grand autumn car boot sale takes place every third Sunday of September around the Closiers lake, one of the most beautiful natural areas in the city of Montargis. It is a must-attend event for lovers of treasure hunting and good deals in the entire Loiret region.

Over 300 Private Exhibitors

With over 300 exhibitors spread around the lake, this car boot sale is one of the largest in the Gâtinais region. You can find a wide variety of items: clothing, toys, tableware, books, vinyl records, tools, trinkets, furniture, and decorative objects. Only private individuals are allowed to exhibit, which guarantees the authenticity of finds and accessible prices.

An Exceptional Waterfront Setting

The Closiers lake offers an enchanting setting for this autumn event. Exhibitors set up all around the water, creating a pleasant walking route that combines treasure hunting with an outdoor stroll. The autumn colors add to the warm atmosphere of the day.

Organization and Friendly Atmosphere

ARCM, a historic association from the Chaussée district, handles all logistics: setting up pitches, on-site catering (refreshments and sandwiches prepared by volunteers), and organizing the day. External food vendors (e.g., donuts, crepes) are not allowed, to avoid competing with the association's catering.

Access and Placement

There are no advance reservations: exhibitors arrive from opening at 5:30 AM and are placed in order of arrival. Visitors are welcomed from 6:00 AM. Entry is completely free for the public.

Practical Information

The exhibitor fee is €3.50 per linear meter. The Closiers lake is accessible on foot from the center of Montargis and has parking nearby. Public toilets are available on site.
