Every August 15th, the village of Saint-Trivier-de-Courtes hosts one of the most important flea markets in the Bresse de l'Ain region. The Carronière site, a large outdoor space located on the road to Chalon, offers an ideal setting for the approximately 300 exhibitors who set up each year.
Saint-Trivier-de-Courtes is an emblematic village in Bresse, known for its Saracen chimney farmhouses, classified as historical monuments. The August 15th flea market is part of the festive Bressan tradition and attracts visitors from all over the department and neighboring departments (Saône-et-Loire, Jura).
The event hosts around 300 exhibitors, with a fee of 2 euros per linear meter. No reservation is necessary: pitches are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibitors' vehicles are parked behind the stands. The site is accessible to people in wheelchairs with assistance.
Refreshments and food are available all day, provided by local volunteers. The atmosphere is friendly and popular, characteristic of Bressan festivals.
