Every first Sunday in June, the Fort-du-Plasne organizing committee organizes its annual flea market on the town hall square. This friendly event attracts bargain hunters from the Haut-Jura and surrounding areas to this small mountain village nestled at nearly 900 meters above sea level.
Exhibitors set up in the morning on the town hall square and offer trinkets, crockery, clothes, books, toys, and various objects. The atmosphere is that of an authentic village market, where conversations flow freely between sellers and buyers. The pitch is offered at €2 per linear meter, a very accessible price.
Fort-du-Plasne is a commune in the Haut-Jura located in the natural region of Grandvaux, a high-altitude plateau dotted with lakes, peat bogs, and spruce forests. The village is close to Lac de l'Abbaye and Lac des Rouges-Truites, in a preserved natural setting that invites you for a walk after your bargain hunting.
The organizing committee provides meals and drinks on site, allowing you to spend a full day in this pleasant mountain setting.
