The Foire Saint-Michel is the most emblematic popular event in Louviers and one of the oldest and most important fairs in Normandy. For over two centuries, it has brought together every early October the inhabitants of the drapery city, the Louviers natives at heart, and visitors from all over the Eure department and beyond for three days of celebration, commerce, and Norman conviviality.

The authentic Norman festival: fair, street sale, and car boot sale

The Foire Saint-Michel is a multifaceted event that blends commercial tradition and popular entertainment. On the boulevards and in the streets of the city center, over 300 exhibitors and merchants set up their stalls over several kilometers: street sale of clothes, jewelry, leather goods, toys, food, Norman regional products, cheeses, ciders, and calvados. The car boot sale, held on Sundays, welcomes individual exhibitors selling their bric-a-brac in a popular market atmosphere. The fairground rides and games of the grand funfair complete the picture for the delight of families.

Over 80,000 visitors over three days

The scale of the Foire Saint-Michel is impressive: with over 80,000 visitors expected over the three days, it is the most attended commercial and popular event in the Eure department. Its 219th edition, held from October 3 to 5, 2025, once again confirmed the attachment of Normans to this centennial event. The return of farm animals, tastings of local products, and free concerts make it much more than just a street sale.

A program for all ages

The Foire Saint-Michel knows how to renew itself while keeping its soul. The Halle aux Drapiers hosts a free play area with traditional games and XXL games. Free concerts liven up the evenings. Exhibitions of prestige cars and specific entertainment enrich the program. Norman agricultural producers present their animals and harvests in a spirit of reconnection with the rural traditions of Normandy.
