43rd edition of the great Saint-Martin flea market fair in L'Île-Bouchard, 400 exhibitors
The Foire de la Saint-Martin in L'Île-Bouchard brings together around 400 exhibitors every November 11th in the streets of this charming small town. Professional flea market sellers, antique dealers, and individuals offer a considerable selection of furniture, tableware, trinkets, old tools, books, vinyl records, toys, and collector's items. The fair is accompanied by a vintage car exhibition, a funfair, and catering stands, making it a festive day for the whole family. With its 43rd edition in 2026, this event has established itself as a must-attend autumn gathering in the Touraine region.
L'Île-Bouchard is a commune of about 1,700 inhabitants located in southern Touraine, at the confluence of the Vienne and Manse rivers. The town owes its name to the island formed by the two branches of the Vienne and to Lord Bouchard I, who built a castle there in the 10th century. The Romanesque church of Saint-Gilles preserves remarkable 12th-century sculpted capitals. The Saint-Léonard priory, the old town, and the banks of the Vienne give L'Île-Bouchard an authentic heritage charm, enhanced on fair days.
Beyond the flea market, the Foire de la Saint-Martin offers various activities: car exhibition, fairground rides, street performances, and local product tastings. The refreshment stand and on-site catering allow visitors to spend the whole day. Parking is organized on the outskirts of the town. Admission is free for visitors.
