Châtellerault is Vienne's sub-prefecture and the department's second city with around 30,000 inhabitants. A city of long industrial tradition (royal arms factory, cutlery, metallurgy), also a dynamic shopping hub with many town-centre boutiques, peripheral shopping areas, and an agglomeration radiating across northern Vienne. The November Sale is one of the year's commercial highlights, at a key moment before Christmas shopping.

The Châtellerault November Sale runs over three full days: Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2026. This extended duration has advantages. Retailers can spread promotions, customers can return multiple times, crowds are better distributed, the event becomes a true shopping destination.
