The three-day commercial braderie
Châtellerault Exhibition Park braderie stands out from classic flea markets through its format and scale: three consecutive days (Fri 17, Sat 18 and Sun 19 July 2026), covered setting (Exhibition Park), and mostly commercial offer (destocking, end-of-line, trade sales). A major summer Châtellerault event.
Halfway between a classic braderie and a trade show: lets local and regional retailers move last-season stock, independent traders boost turnover, and visitors make real deals at slashed prices. Three-day format lets visitors return and take time.
Châtellerault has a modern Exhibition Park hosting shows, fairs and commercial events year-round. Covered halls, wide aisles, spacious parking — ideal for a big summer braderie. Covered setting advantage: browse regardless of weather, shielded from sun (precious in July) or rain.
31,000 inhabitants, dynamic agglomeration centre (Grand Châtellerault, 80,000). Strong industrial past (Arms Manufactory, mechanical industries), active commercial fabric. The braderie fits this tradition and draws visitors from north Vienne, south Indre-et-Loire and Anjou.
Henri IV Bridge (1611), listed, crosses the Vienne downtown. Former Arms Manufactory (redeveloped) speaks to industrial past. Auto-Moto-Vélo Museum holds remarkable vintage vehicle collection. Covered halls, mansions, Saint-Jacques church complete the picture.
Futuroscope (15 km). Poitiers (30 km). Dissay (10 km) medieval castle. La Roche-Posay (30 km) spa. Vienne valley.
Ideal for those seeking commercial deals rather than hunting treasures. Come to:
Come at opening (9-10 am) for best offers before the crowd. Afternoon: attendance rises, some pieces go. Bring big bag or trolley. Most commercial stands take cards. Return another day if needed — three days allow time.
