For over three decades, the Châteauroux Militaria Exhibition and Sale has brought together collectors and enthusiasts of military objects from all eras at the Parc des Expositions de Belle-Isle. For its 31st edition, this specialized event welcomes exhibitors from all over France offering uniforms, medals, decorations, deactivated service weapons, period documents, models, insignia, badges, helmets, and historical souvenirs. Exhibition displays complement the sales stands, offering visitors a panorama of French military history.

The Parc de Belle-Isle, Setting for the Sale

The Parc des Expositions de Belle-Isle is located within the magnificent Parc de Belle-Isle, a vast 30-hectare green space developed in the 18th century on the banks of the Indre river. This exceptional setting, with its tree-lined paths and water features, makes it an ideal venue for major events in Châteauroux. The former American military camp at La Martinerie, near Châteauroux, also recalls the significant military presence that has marked the city.

Châteauroux and Military History

Châteauroux has a special connection with military history. The Déols-La Martinerie air base, used by NATO and the US Air Force in the 1950s-1960s, profoundly marked the city. The Museum of the American Base preserves the memory of this period. This militaria sale continues this tradition by offering collectors a space for exchange and sharing around the memory of combat.
