First flea market of the year in Châteauroux

At the end of February – beginning of March, the Saint-Gildas meadow in Châteauroux hosts one of the first flea markets of the season in the Indre department. Around 100 exhibitors, professionals and individuals, brave the last chills of winter to offer furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, tools, vintage clothing, toys, and various objects. This event traditionally marks the kick-off of the Berri flea market season.

The Saint-Gildas meadow, a green space in the heart of the city

The Saint-Gildas meadow is a large open space located near the Mail Saint-Gildas, in the heart of Châteauroux. This green space, which regularly hosts fairground events and outdoor gatherings, offers enough space to set up about a hundred flea market stalls. Its proximity to the city center and shops makes it easily accessible for visitors.

Châteauroux, between Brenne and Boischaut

The prefecture of the Indre, Châteauroux is located at the crossroads of several Berri regions: Champagne berrichonne to the north, Boischaut to the south, and Brenne to the west. This central position makes it the main attraction for bargain hunters in the department. Château Raoul, Parc de Belle-Isle, and the Musée-Hôtel Bertrand complete the city's tourist appeal.
