Annual car boot sale by the Tournon-Saint-Pierre festival committee, with local producers
The car boot sale of Tournon-Saint-Pierre is a spring event that combines flea market and producers' market. Private sellers offer a varied selection of everyday items: clothing, toys, tableware, books, tools, trinkets, small furniture, plants, and various bargains. In parallel, local producers set up their stalls with cheeses, honey, jams, and other local products from the Brenne region and the Creuse valley.
Tournon-Saint-Pierre is a commune of about 800 inhabitants located in the south of Indre-et-Loire, in the Creuse valley, in immediate proximity to La Roche-Posay and on the borders of Touraine, Berry, and Poitou. The village retains a 15th-century château, a Romanesque church, and a picturesque bridge over the Creuse. The proximity of the Brenne Regional Natural Park offers beautiful opportunities for hiking and birdwatching.
The car boot sale is held on a Sunday in April, with free admission. Refreshments and food are available on site, and tasting local products is a pleasant addition to the morning of treasure hunting.
