Landorthe is a commune of about 1,000 inhabitants located just 5 km northeast of Saint-Gaudens, the main town of Comminges. The village, which covers 9.7 km², is part of the Cœur et Coteaux du Comminges intercommunal community. Surrounded by the communes of Lieoux, Savarthès, and Sepx, Landorthe offers a pleasant rural setting between the Garonne plain and the first Pyrenean foothills. The commune has seen its population grow by 30% since 1999, a sign of its attractiveness.
