Car boot sale and flea market in Hyèvre-Paroisse in the Doubs
Hyèvre-Paroisse is a small village in the Doubs (25110) with about 195 inhabitants, located in the Cusancin valley, not far from Baume-les-Dames. Despite its modest size, the commune organizes its spring car boot sale every year, true to the Franche-Comté tradition of spring markets. The event is carefully organized by local residents and volunteers.
The Hyèvre-Paroisse car boot sale is traditionally held at the end of April or beginning of May, taking advantage of the first good weather to bring exhibitors and visitors together outdoors. It is an opportunity for residents to clear out their attics – often well-stocked in these Franche-Comté houses with generous outbuildings – and to offer bargain hunters authentic objects reflecting rural life in the Doubs: tools, crockery, linens, antique furniture, books, and curiosities.
Hyèvre-Paroisse covers 8.8 km² in a preserved natural setting, typical of the Franche-Comté countryside. The commune is part of the canton of Hyèvre-Paroisse and benefits from a pleasant geographical location between the plateaus and valleys of the Doubs. Its annual car boot sale is one of the highlights of local community life, bringing residents together in a spirit of conviviality and sharing.
Hyèvre-Paroisse is accessible from Baume-les-Dames by the departmental road. The town hall, located at 31 rue Principale, can provide information on how to participate as an exhibitor. Town hall contact: 06 41 37 90 12.
