Every year around July 19-20, the date of Sainte-Madeleine, the village comes alive with this tradition that combines a fair, a car boot sale, and festivities. The car boot sale is set up in the shady and green Parc du Château, while the traditional fair takes over the village streets and squares.

Montesquiou is a hilltop village of 600 inhabitants located 20 km west of Auch. The commune is the birthplace of the Montesquiou family, one of the oldest and most prestigious noble families in Gascony, with origins dating back to the 10th century. The village preserves the remains of its medieval castle, its Saint-Martin church, and its picturesque streets typical of the hilltop villages of the Gers. The view from the promontory encompasses the hillsides and the Pyrenees mountain range.

The car boot sale brings together between 50 and 100 exhibitors depending on the edition, in the shaded setting of the Parc du Château.
