Each spring, the association Les Acries organizes a large car boot sale and flea market on the Champ de Foire square and in the streets of Brizambourg. This event attracts bargain hunters from all over Charente-Maritime, who come in search of good deals in this charming village located between Saintes and Saint-Jean-d'Angély.

Brizambourg, a Village in the Heart of Saintonge

Brizambourg is a rural commune in Charente-Maritime, situated in the Charente valley, halfway between Saintes and Saint-Jean-d'Angély on the D739. The village retains interesting architectural heritage with its Romanesque church and its pale stone houses typical of Saintonge. The Champ de Foire square, the traditional site for markets and fairs, is the heart of the event and offers an authentic setting for treasure hunting.

An Early Morning Rendezvous for the Best Finds

The car boot sale opens its doors at 6 am, allowing the earliest bargain hunters to find the best items. Exhibitors, who have pitches at a rate of €2.50 per linear meter, offer all sorts of second-hand items: crockery, trinkets, clothing, toys, books, furniture. New items and food products are not permitted, ensuring the authentic spirit of a village car boot sale.

Catering and Camaraderie

On-site catering, provided by the association Les Acries, allows visitors to refuel between finds. This outdoor treasure hunting day, which continues until 6 pm, is also an opportunity to enjoy the green countryside of Saintonge and the warm atmosphere of a lively village.
