Hunt for treasures at the foot of Grand Veymont during the Fête de l'Alpage
The car boot sale of the Fête de l'Alpage of Gresse-en-Vercors is held every year in mid-August, as part of this traditional mountain festival. From 8 am to 5 pm, treasure hunters browse the stalls of individuals in an exceptional setting, at the foot of Grand Veymont, the highest point of the Vercors. Entry is free. Refreshments and food complete this festive day at altitude.
Every year in mid-August, Gresse-en-Vercors celebrates the Fête de l'Alpage, a mountain tradition that highlights pastoral life and local know-how. The car boot sale is one of the highlights of this three-day event which attracts visitors from all over the Grenoble region.
Located at an altitude of 1,200 meters at the foot of Grand Veymont, the highest point of the Vercors massif (2,341 m), the village of Gresse-en-Vercors offers a spectacular setting for treasure hunting. The exhibitors' stalls are set up in the center of the village, between mountain houses and meadows. The pure air and the coolness of the altitude make the stroll particularly pleasant in the middle of summer.
The Fête de l'Alpage, in its 48th edition in 2025, celebrates the pastoral life of the Vercors. Beyond the car boot sale, the program includes demonstrations of old trades, tastings of local products, music, and entertainment for the whole family. The car boot sale reserved for individuals completes this warm and authentic atmosphere.
Arrive early in the morning to enjoy the cool weather and the best finds. Exhibitors start setting up at 6:30 am. Bring warm clothing for the morning at altitude. Take advantage of the day to discover the other events of the Fête de l'Alpage and the surrounding hiking trails.

€5 for 5 linear meters for residents of Gresse-en-Vercors, €10 for 5 linear meters for outsiders. Reserved for individuals.
