Every June, the Chemin de la Bouillotte in Plélan-le-Grand hosts a popular outdoor car boot sale for treasure hunters in Brocéliande. Private sellers offer a wide range of second-hand items: clothes, toys, books, trinkets, crockery, tools, small furniture, and bric-a-brac. The atmosphere is that of a relaxed and friendly neighbourhood car boot sale, where people take their time to chat and negotiate with each other.
Plélan-le-Grand is a commune of about 4,000 inhabitants located in the heart of the Pays de Brocéliande, in Ille-et-Vilaine. The eastern gateway to the Paimpont forest — the mythical Brocéliande forest — Plélan-le-Grand benefits from an exceptional natural setting. The commune has the Étang du Pas du Houx, a large body of water on the edge of the forest, and numerous hiking trails through heathlands and forests. The Arthurian heritage — Merlin's tomb, Barenton fountain, Val sans Retour — attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The car boot sale on Chemin de la Bouillotte offers an ideal opportunity to combine treasure hunting and nature. Visitors can extend their day with a walk in the Brocéliande forest, which is very close by. Admission is free and parking is easy in the neighbourhood.
The Chemin de la Bouillotte flea market returns for its 3rd edition on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Plélan-le-Grand. Approximately 200 private exhibitors will set up in the Bouillotte district, at the gates of the Brocéliande forest, for a day of outdoor bargain hunting from 8 AM to 5 PM.
The Bouillotte neighborhood association is organizing its annual flea market on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in Plélan-le-Grand, Ille-et-Vilaine. Chemin de la Bouillotte and its surroundings host a 3rd edition now well-established in the calendar of Breton bargain hunters.
Nearly 200 private exhibitors offer a wide selection of second-hand items: clothes, toys, books, trinkets, crockery, tools, small furniture, and bric-a-brac. The atmosphere is that of a friendly neighborhood flea market, in a green setting on the edge of the Brocéliande forest.
The event is free for visitors and takes place from 8 AM to 5 PM. Exhibitors are welcomed from 6 AM to 8 AM. Food and refreshments are provided on site by the association's volunteers.
