The car boot sale of August 15th in Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen is one of the flagship events of the summer in the north of Ille-et-Vilaine. Every year, on Assumption Day, the town center comes alive with numerous private exhibitors offering a wide selection of second-hand items: clothing, toys, trinkets, tableware, books, furniture, tools and various flea market items. Attendance is high, attracting bargain hunters from the coast and surrounding areas.
Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen is a commune of about 4,200 inhabitants occupying a central position between Dinan, Dol-de-Bretagne and Combourg. The town center is a natural crossroads of the Dol region, surrounded by hedgerows and wooded areas. The commune has a dynamic associative fabric and a renowned weekly market. Its heritage includes the parish church and several rural manors typical of northern Brittany.
The car boot sale takes place in the town center of Saint-Pierre-de-Plesguen. Admission is free for visitors. It is advisable to arrive early in the morning to find the best deals. Parking is available in the adjacent streets.
