Permanent flea market at the gates of the Sidobre
Set at 40 route de Castres, on the edge of Burlats village heading towards Les Salvages, the Burlats Flea Market is a covered brocante open three days a week: Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Recognisable by its blue gate, it houses around ten professional antique dealers year-round, offering hunters a covered space accessible in any weather.
Burlats, a heritage village of the Castres area, is an ideal stopover on the way to the Sidobre, a granite massif of unique landscapes. The brocante fits naturally into a tourist route combining the Burlats abbey, the Agout gorges and the geological wonders of the Sidobre plateau.
The professional dealers offer an eclectic selection: regional antique furniture, Tarn and Languedoc buffets, wardrobes and chests of drawers, rural everyday objects, trade tools, antique lamps, ceramics, tableware, paintings, old books, decorative knick-knacks, vintage toys and household linen.
Unlike seasonal open-air flea markets, the Burlats brocante allows you to browse in the dry and the shade all year round. Visitors drop in regularly, often combining a visit with a weekend in the Castres area or a drive towards Mazamet and the Montagne Noire.
Antique furniture lovers, interior decorators, individuals looking for a unique piece, patient collectors.
