The Cabariot Flea Market: Sport for Treasure Hunting

Each year, the Association Sportive de Cabariot Foot organizes its flea market and car boot sale on rue du Stade, transforming the area around the football pitch into a vast treasure market. This event, which brings together between 50 and 100 exhibitors, individuals and professionals, allows the club to finance its sports activities while offering locals and visitors a day of treasure hunting and discovery.

50 to 100 Exhibitors in a Sporting and Friendly Setting

The Cabariot flea market welcomes sellers offering a varied selection: furniture, tableware, trinkets, tools, toys, clothing, books, and decorative objects. Pitches, charged at 2.50 euros per linear meter, are set up outdoors along rue du Stade. Exhibitors can set up from 6 am, while visitors are welcomed from 6:30 am. The atmosphere is good-natured, with many regulars who meet year after year.

Cabariot, Between Rochefort and the Charente

Cabariot is a commune in the canton of Tonnay-Charente, located a few kilometers from Rochefort and the banks of the Charente. This peaceful village, surrounded by marshes and meadows, benefits from the proximity of the Rochefort arsenal, the Corderie Royale, and the Rochefort-Échillais transshipment bridge. The surrounding countryside, rich in fauna and flora, attracts nature and hiking enthusiasts. The passage of the Charente river nearby adds a special charm to this territory between land and water.

AS Cabariot Foot, founded by football enthusiasts, uses the profits from the flea market to finance the club's equipment, travel, and activities. Catering and refreshments, provided by club volunteers, offer barbecues and drinks in a village festival atmosphere. Parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the stalls.
