Annual flea market in the main street of the village of Robert-Espagne, Saulx valley
Each year in spring, the village of Robert-Espagne (55000) hosts its flea market in the main street of the town. Exhibitors set up along this artery to offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, collectible items, and finds of all kinds. The event attracts treasure hunters from the vicinity of Bar-le-Duc and the south of the Meuse.
Robert-Espagne is a village in the Meuse department, located in the Saulx valley, a few kilometers south of Bar-le-Duc. The village bears the scars of World War II: on August 29, 1944, German soldiers perpetrated a massacre there that cost the lives of many civilians. A commemorative monument and a memorial site recall this tragedy. Despite this painful past, Robert-Espagne has managed to rebuild itself and maintains an active community life.
Entry is free for visitors. The flea market takes place outdoors in the main street. Refreshments, food, ice cream, and sweets are available on site, perfect for enhancing a day of treasure hunting. The friendly atmosphere of this Lorraine village makes it a pleasant outing for the whole family.
