Annual flea market organized by the Amicale de Morville-sur-Seille
Every first Sunday of August, the village of Morville-sur-Seille hosts its annual flea market, organized by the local Amicale. This event, firmly established in the local calendar, brings together around 90 exhibitors in the village streets, attracting bargain hunters from all over the Pont-Ã -Mousson and Seille area.
The stalls of flea market traders and individuals are set up throughout the village, accessible via the west (towards Atton) and south (towards Port-sur-Seille) entrances. Antique furniture, tableware, trinkets, clothing, books, and collectibles are offered to visitors in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The controlled number of exhibitors allows for browsing all the stalls without rushing.
The Amicale de Morville-sur-Seille is the driving force behind the village's community life. It organizes the annual flea market, managing exhibitor registration, stall placement, and the refreshment stand. Profits are reinvested into the association to fund other events throughout the year and support village activities.
Morville-sur-Seille is located in the Seille valley, a preserved area of Meurthe-et-Moselle, between Pont-Ã -Mousson and the Saulnois region. The Seille river, a tributary of the Moselle, flows through the village, giving it a green and peaceful setting. Visitors attending the flea market can extend their day with a walk along the river or in the neighboring villages of Port-sur-Seille and Atton.
