Spring bargain hunting between the Sor and the Montagne Noire
Cambounet-sur-le-Sor, a small Tarn village of about 700 inhabitants nestled between Castres and Soual, hosts a popular flea market each spring. On Sunday 19 April 2026, the streets of the village centre welcome residents to empty attics and garages for a day of open-air treasure hunting.
Children's toys, clothing of all sizes, baby items, crockery, ornaments, books, records, small furniture, tools, sports and garden equipment, decorative objects. Prices are modest, in the spirit of a family clear-out. Ideal hunting ground for Sunday treasure seekers.
Cambounet-sur-le-Sor is part of the Castres-Mazamet urban community. Between the clear waters of the Sor and the silhouette of the mountains, the commune offers a very photogenic rural setting.
This type of village event, without pretension, is precisely what makes the charm of Tarn weekends in spring. Friendly atmosphere, neighbourly encounters, coffee chats.
Cambounet-sur-le-Sor is accessible from Castres (15 km) via the D621. Parking near the village centre.
Private individuals flea market.
