Autumn flea market of La Ferté-Vidame with 250 exhibitors, organized in September by the Comité des Fêtes in this village of Perche eurelien
Every September, the Comité des Fêtes of La Ferté-Vidame organizes its big autumn flea market in the village center. With around 250 exhibitors, it is one of the most popular flea market events in Eure-et-Loir. Individuals and professionals offer furniture, curiosities, and antique objects at the foot of the neoclassical castle, in this Petite Cité de Caractère of Perche.
Every autumn, La Ferté-Vidame becomes the unmissable meeting place for bargain hunters from Eure-et-Loir and neighboring regions. The Comité des Fêtes has been organizing this September flea market for many years, bringing together up to 250 exhibitors in the village center. It is one of the most important flea market events in the 28 department in terms of the number of participants.
Private and professional exhibitors set up early in the morning to offer an eclectic range: country and period furniture, antique tableware, trinkets, books, clothing, toys, and decorative objects. The flea market takes place outdoors, with no mandatory reservation, at €10 for a 25 m² pitch for individuals. Exhibitors set up from 6 am and the event ends around 6 pm.
The village of La Ferté-Vidame offers a prime location for this event. The municipality is labeled Petite Cité de Caractère and houses the remarkable ruins of the 18th-century castle, former property of the Duke of Saint-Simon. This neoclassical castle and its vast landscaped park, now owned by the Department of Eure-et-Loir, provide an incomparable backdrop for visitors who, after shopping, can stroll through this exceptional natural and historical heritage.
The September flea market is often part of the larger municipal festival of La Ferté-Vidame, which brings residents together for several days of activities. The flea market is usually the highlight of the weekend, attracting visitors from all over Perche, Thymerais, and even from neighboring departments such as Eure, Orne, or Yvelines.
Refreshments and light catering are available on site. Entry is free for visitors. For all inquiries, the Comité des Fêtes can be reached at 02 37 37 62 45 (contact: Nadia Ciumé).
Located about 20 km west of Dreux and 40 km north of Nogent-le-Rotrou, the village is accessible by car via the N12. Free parking is available on the outskirts of the town center to accommodate the many visitors on this day.
