The Flea Market of Cadillac: Treasure Hunting at the Foot of the Château des Ducs d'Épernon

The bastide of Cadillac (33410) regularly hosts a flea market and second-hand market on the Place René Gérard and under the hall in the town center. Around 100 vendors - professional second-hand dealers and individuals - set up in this remarkable heritage setting to offer antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, paintings, vintage clothing, and collectibles. The hall offers a covered space, while the square accommodates stands with vehicles.

Cadillac, a Bastide and Castle on the Banks of the Garonne

Cadillac is a bastide founded in 1280 by King Edward I of England, on the right bank of the Garonne. It is dominated by the imposing Château des Ducs d'Épernon, a historical monument from the 16th and 17th centuries. The town is also the birthplace of the Cadillac-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, renowned for its sweet wines. The medieval streets, fortified gates, and the banks of the Garonne form an exceptional backdrop for treasure hunting.

A Regular Event for Enthusiasts

The flea market of Cadillac takes place several Sundays a year, particularly in the spring. Exhibitors can set up from 6 a.m., while the market is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Reservation is mandatory for vendors. Entry is free for visitors, who can enjoy the terraces and shops of the bastide between finds.
