The Brocante des Cagouilles Montbronnaises takes place every May 8th at the old campsite of Montbron, a site of one hectare located behind the municipal swimming pool. This green space, with large trees, grassy areas, sanitary facilities (toilets and sinks), and a paved path, offers an exceptional setting for an outdoor treasure hunt day.

Flea Market, Local Producers, and Artisans

The event brings together three complementary universes: the flea market with professional and private exhibitors, a local producers' market offering Charentais specialties, and an artisanal space for creators from the region. This diversity makes it more than just a simple car boot sale: it's a true popular festival on May 8th in northern Charente.

The Cagouilles, a Charentais Emblem

The event's name pays homage to the cagouilles, the Charentais word for snails, an emblematic animal of the region. Charentais people are even nicknamed 'cagouillards'. This nod to local heritage gives the event a strong identity rooted in the region's culture.

A Family-Friendly and Secure Space

The campsite, semi-enclosed and without vehicle traffic during the event, is particularly suitable for families with children. Vehicle access is limited to specific times (6 am-7:45 am and 5:15 pm-6:30 pm). Food is available on-site, and picnics are allowed. Coffee is offered to exhibitors in the morning.
