Brocante and Fair of Montbron

A Monthly Event in the Heart of Montbron

The Brocante and Fair of Montbron takes place on the 1st of each month on the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, in the center of this small town of character in northeastern Charente. From 6 am to 1 pm, individuals and professionals exhibit on this beautiful square lined with old houses, at the foot of the castle of the counts of Montbron.

Flea Market and Fair Combined

The originality of this event lies in the combination of a flea market and a traditional fair. Bargain hunters can find furniture, crockery, trinkets, books, and second-hand items, while fairground traders offer jewelry, clothing, cereals, cutlery (knife sharpener), and even live poultry from March to September. This combination gives the event a unique atmosphere, blending the spirit of old markets with the thrill of the hunt.

Montbron, Medieval Town of the Bandiat

Located in the Bandiat valley, on the borders of Charente and Périgord, Montbron is a town of character that has preserved its architectural heritage. The castle, the Romanesque church of Saint-Maurice, and the medieval streets offer a picturesque setting for visitors looking for treasures in the morning of the fair. The town is also known for its charentaises, famous slippers still manufactured there.

Free Access and No Reservation Required

Exhibitors can set up without reservation and free of charge from 6 am. Coffee is offered to exhibitors. Restrooms and parking are available near the square. The event takes place outdoors, unless canceled due to exceptional weather conditions.
