Each year, the small village of Samogneux hosts its annual flea market on Rue Gaston Thiébaut. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes, this event starts in the morning to allow the earliest bargain hunters to find the best deals among the stalls of antique objects, crockery, trinkets, and various curiosities.

A Village Steeped in History

Samogneux is a village with a unique destiny. Located a few kilometers north of Verdun, it was completely destroyed during the Battle of Verdun in 1916, then rebuilt in the years that followed. This historical past gives the village a special atmosphere, between memory and renewal. The municipality now has about a hundred inhabitants and is part of the Grand Verdun urban community.
