Flea market, car boot sale and flower market in the heart of the Montagne Jura
Every year in May, Andelot-en-Montagne hosts its traditional flea market/car boot sale combined with a flower and producers' market. This festive event, in its 23rd edition in 2026, brings together over 95 exhibitors in the streets of this Haut-Jura village. Artisans, florists, and flea market vendors mingle for a day of discoveries and bargains in a green mountain setting.
For over twenty years, the village of Andelot-en-Montagne, nestled in the Jura mountains at an altitude of 650 meters, has organized an original event each spring combining a flea market, car boot sale, flower market, and producers' market. The 2026 edition marks the 23rd edition of this event, which has become a must-attend in the local calendar.
The originality of this event lies in the combination of two worlds: antiquing and gardening. On one hand, individuals display their second-hand items—crockery, trinkets, toys, furniture—while on the other, horticulturists and nurseries offer plants, flowers, and shrubs to prepare for the season. Local artisans and producers from the Jura region complete the offering.
With its 95+ exhibitors, the Andelot-en-Montagne flea market offers a varied selection to visitors. Stalls spread through the village streets, providing a pleasant antiquing route in a mid-mountain setting surrounded by fir forests and pastures. The village is located near the source of the Ain river and Chalain lake, two remarkable natural sites in the Jura.
Traditionally scheduled around the second Sunday in May, this event marks the arrival of spring in the Haut-Jura. It's an opportunity for the region's inhabitants to come out after winter, enjoy the atmosphere of open-air markets, and prepare their gardens while hunting for treasures.
The producers' market accompanying the flea market allows visitors to discover the gastronomic riches of the Jura. Aged Comté, Morbier cheese, Morteau sausages, mountain honey, and Côtes du Jura appellation wines are offered by local producers. Horticulturists, in turn, present varieties adapted to the mid-mountain climate, with vegetable plants, hardy perennials, and ornamental shrubs that withstand the harsh Jura winters.
23rd edition of the brocante and flower market of Andelot-en-Montagne, on Sunday, May 10, 2026. Over 95 exhibitors expected.
