Annual car boot sale in the village of Sauvigny, in the heart of the Meuse
Every spring, the small village of Sauvigny hosts its traditional car boot sale. Exhibitors, mainly individuals, set up in the village streets to offer clothes, toys, crockery, books, trinkets, and all sorts of items from their attics and cellars.
Sauvigny is a commune of 224 inhabitants located in the Meuse department, near Commercy. The village covers 17.5 km² of hilly landscapes typical of the southern Meuse region. Visitors appreciate the calm and authenticity of this rural setting, far from the hustle and bustle of big cities. The village alleys offer a pleasant treasure hunting route, punctuated by stone houses characteristic of the region.
Entry is free for visitors, making it an accessible family outing for everyone. A refreshment stand and light catering on-site allow you to eat between finds. The Sauvigny car boot sale perfectly illustrates the associative vitality of small villages in the Meuse region, which perpetuate these popular treasure hunting events.
