Every July 14th, the streets of Ainay-le-Château are transformed into a vast treasure market. This fortified medieval village, listed among the most beautiful sites in Bourbonnais, offers an exceptional setting for a day of treasure hunting, between ramparts, watchtowers, and half-timbered houses. With around 200 exhibitors, the flea market takes over the entire town for a day that stretches from dawn until evening.

Ainay-le-Château preserves exceptional medieval heritage: its almost intact ramparts, its five defense towers, its fortified gate, and its old houses bear witness to the importance of this town in the Middle Ages. The flea market route follows the picturesque alleys of the town, offering a new perspective on this remarkable heritage at every turn.
