Olympique Amiénois, a neighbourhood football club in the Somme prefecture, organises its 8 May braderie every year. The 2026 edition is held on Friday 8 May from 8am to 6pm (setup from 6.30am), 20 rue du Professeur Christian Cabrol in Amiens. The aim is twofold: offer residents a popular hunting rendezvous, and fund the club through stall fees. A win-win formula rooted in the tradition of local sports clubs keeping neighbourhoods alive.

A braderie reserved for private sellers

The braderie is reserved for private sellers, guaranteeing a family atmosphere and low prices. The rate is €3 per metre with a 3-metre minimum per stall, i.e. €9 to set up — one of the most affordable rates in the Amiens area. This attracts a mixed audience: neighbours clearing attics and wardrobes, families supplementing budgets, young people trying the format.

Inside the club grounds

The event's originality lies in its setting: the Delaporte stadium and its surroundings, the club's home ground. Sellers set up in and around the sports facilities, assisted by Olympique Amiénois players and volunteers. The clubhouse serves as HQ, with refreshments prepared by volunteers. Hot dogs, chips, drinks, coffee — enough to see you through the day while supporting the club.

A lively Amiens neighbourhood

The Delaporte stadium is on rue du Professeur Christian Cabrol, named after the great Amiens-born heart surgeon who performed the first European heart transplant in 1968. The neighbourhood combines residential housing, sports facilities and a lively community life. Olympique Amiénois plays a central role, bringing together several hundred members — young and adult — around amateur football.

Registering as a seller

Seller registration takes place at the Delaporte clubhouse during specific sessions: Wednesdays 3, 10, 17 and 24 April 2026 from 2-6.30pm, and Saturday 4 May 2026 from 2-6pm.
