8 May charity braderie organised by the football club
Olympique Amiénois holds its annual braderie on Friday 8 May 2026 from 8am to 6pm, 20 rue du Professeur Christian Cabrol. Reserved for private sellers at a solidarity rate of €3 per metre, this Amiens football club braderie is a friendly rendezvous in the heart of the city. Inside the Delaporte stadium, players, volunteers and supporters rally around a great day of charity bargain hunting, with on-site refreshments.
Olympique Amiénois, a neighbourhood football club in the Somme prefecture, organises its 8 May braderie every year. The 2026 edition is held on Friday 8 May from 8am to 6pm (setup from 6.30am), 20 rue du Professeur Christian Cabrol in Amiens. The aim is twofold: offer residents a popular hunting rendezvous, and fund the club through stall fees. A win-win formula rooted in the tradition of local sports clubs keeping neighbourhoods alive.
The braderie is reserved for private sellers, guaranteeing a family atmosphere and low prices. The rate is €3 per metre with a 3-metre minimum per stall, i.e. €9 to set up — one of the most affordable rates in the Amiens area. This attracts a mixed audience: neighbours clearing attics and wardrobes, families supplementing budgets, young people trying the format.
The event's originality lies in its setting: the Delaporte stadium and its surroundings, the club's home ground. Sellers set up in and around the sports facilities, assisted by Olympique Amiénois players and volunteers. The clubhouse serves as HQ, with refreshments prepared by volunteers. Hot dogs, chips, drinks, coffee — enough to see you through the day while supporting the club.
The Delaporte stadium is on rue du Professeur Christian Cabrol, named after the great Amiens-born heart surgeon who performed the first European heart transplant in 1968. The neighbourhood combines residential housing, sports facilities and a lively community life. Olympique Amiénois plays a central role, bringing together several hundred members — young and adult — around amateur football.
Seller registration takes place at the Delaporte clubhouse during specific sessions: Wednesdays 3, 10, 17 and 24 April 2026 from 2-6.30pm, and Saturday 4 May 2026 from 2-6pm. Phone contact: +33 6 11 64 49 52. This grassroots setup allows direct contact with club volunteers who can guide sellers on pitches and practical conditions.
For visitors, the Olympique Amiénois Braderie is a neighbourhood rendezvous ideal for an 8 May not far from Amiens. It easily combines with a city centre visit (cathedral, hortillonnages) or a detour to the great Amiens Réderie if calendars coincide.
