The great spring rendezvous of Amiens' western suburb
The Pont-de-Metz Flea Market gathers around 200 exhibitors every spring in the streets of this town bordering Amiens. Strolling along rue du Pont, rue de l'Eau, place René Aviez and surrounding streets, bargain hunters find tableware, clothes, toys, books, vinyls, trinkets and small furniture. A popular annual event, perfectly accessible from Amiens.
The Pont-de-Metz Flea Market is one of the most awaited bargain hunting events in Amiens' western suburb. This town of about 2,600 inhabitants, bordering the Somme prefecture, organizes its annual rendezvous each spring. With an average of 200 exhibitors across several streets, it's a fine event attracting bargain hunters from Amiens, Somme and neighbouring departments.
The event takes over several emblematic streets: rue du Pont, rue de l'Eau, place René Aviez and surrounding streets. Exhibitors — mostly private — offer a typical Picardy flea market display: tableware, porcelain, family clothes, toys, books, comics, vinyl records, old tools, small furniture, lamps and trinkets.
Pont-de-Metz is fully part of the Amiens metropolitan area, directly linked by rue du Pont. Its name evokes an ancient bridge on the Selle. Its proximity to Amiens (less than 10 minutes by car) makes it an easy stop for metropolis bargain hunters.
With its 200 exhibitors, the Pont-de-Metz Flea Market offers real diversity without excess: the day allows browsing the whole event without feeling lost. The atmosphere is typical of Picardy suburban flea markets: relaxed, family-friendly, warm.
