Annual car boot sale under the bridge, on the banks of the Meurthe in Baccarat
Every year in September, the town of Baccarat hosts its traditional car boot sale on the Rives de Meurthe site, in a natural and picturesque setting under the bridge. This open-air event offers treasure hunters a unique backdrop, by the river Meurthe, in a town whose name is inseparable from the art of crystal.
Exhibitors, mainly individuals, set up their stalls along the banks and offer a wide variety of second-hand items: tableware, trinkets, toys, clothes, books, vinyl records, and collectibles. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, conducive to browsing and finding bargains. The green setting of the Meurthe riverbanks adds a special charm to this day of treasure hunting.
Located in the Lunéville district, Baccarat is a town steeped in history, famous worldwide for its crystal factory founded in 1764. Visitors to the car boot sale can extend their day with a visit to the Crystal Museum or a stroll through the streets of this charming Lorraine town. The car boot sale is thus part of Baccarat's cultural and heritage offerings, attracting locals and tourists alike.
