Every May 1st, the small village of Argoeuves, nestled in the Somme Valley a few kilometers downstream from Amiens, turns into a vast open-air market to host its annual réderie. Organized by the town hall, this event is part of the great Picard tradition of May Day réderies, when many towns in the Somme simultaneously open their streets to bargain hunters.

An accessible format for all

What makes the Argoeuves Flea Market particularly appreciated by exhibitors is its very favorable organization for private sellers. Three-by-three meter spots are free, allowing everyone to empty their attic without financial constraint. Registrations take place directly at the town hall during several sessions in April.

Like any self-respecting Picard réderie, Argoeuves offers a very varied assortment: clothing, children's toys, books and comics, tableware, small furniture, knick-knacks, tools, gardening equipment, board games, records, and decorative objects.
