Spring bargain hunting at the gates of Amiens
Dreuil-lès-Amiens is a town of around 3,500 inhabitants directly bordering Amiens to the north-west. Crossed by the Somme and edged with green slopes, it offers a pleasant setting combining urban proximity and semi-rural atmosphere.
Organised by the local association or the festival committee with town hall support, the flea market is built on volunteers who welcome exhibitors from dawn, manage spots and run the refreshments stall.
The usual range: adult and children's clothes, toys, books, crockery, knick-knacks, small furniture, decorative items, garden gear, vinyls and CDs, tools. Reasonable prices, authentic finds.
The very name recalls proximity to Amiens ("lès" meaning "near" in old French). The area deserves a visit: ponds, hiking trails along the Somme, nearby Étoile nature reserve.
For Amiens residents, this is an easy local event just minutes from the city. For Dreuil locals, a moment of conviviality strengthening social bonds.
On Sunday 5 April 2026, Dreuil-lès-Amiens held its annual flea market. Residents played along, turning the village centre into an open-air market where Amiens bargain hunters and valley neighbours made pleasant finds.
The day, under decent spring weather, gathered a family audience in a relaxed atmosphere.
