The 14th 'foire à tout' of Ailly-sur-Somme football club
The FC Ailly-sur-Somme Samara flea market is a historic event of the spring calendar of flea markets in the Amiens suburbs. Organized by the local football club for its 14th edition, it brings together bargain hunters, residents and curious visitors in a sporty and friendly atmosphere. A great opportunity to support the associative life of Ailly-sur-Somme while hunting for bargains in a village setting.
For its 14th edition, the flea market organized by the Ailly-sur-Somme Samara Football Club returns to animate the commune on Sunday 12 April 2026. A true local institution, this event allows the football club to raise funds each year to finance its sporting activities, while offering residents and bargain hunters a friendly gathering in the Somme valley, on the outskirts of Amiens.
The FC Ailly-sur-Somme Samara is one of the most active sports associations in the commune. By organizing its annual flea market for 14 years, the club perpetuates a popular tradition while supporting its youth and senior teams. Club volunteers are at the heart of the organization: stand setup, pitch management, refreshments, catering and welcoming visitors.
The 'foire à tout', as its name suggests, welcomes 'everything and anything': it is the great popular display where individuals come to clear out the items they no longer use. Tableware, clothes, toys, books, records, small furniture, trinkets, tools and household items make up most of the goods. Unlike professional antique fairs, you won't find carefully selected antiques here, but rather the authentic bric-à -brac of daily Picardy life, sold at popular prices.
Located a few kilometres west of Amiens, on the right bank of the Somme, Ailly-sur-Somme is a commune of nearly 2,500 inhabitants. Its name 'Samara' recalls the ancient Latin designation of the Somme river, which crosses the territory. The village benefits from a privileged natural setting between river, ponds and wet meadows typical of the Amiens 'hortillonnages'. The Samara archaeological park, one of the largest in France dedicated to Gallic civilizations, is located a few kilometres away.
The FC Ailly-sur-Somme flea market attracts a family audience, mixing commune residents, club supporters and bargain hunters from neighbouring communes or Amiens. The relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by the presence of the club's bar and catering, where volunteers offer chips, sandwiches, crêpes and drinks throughout the day. A friendly moment where sport, bargain hunting and village life mingle harmoniously.
