The ARGELES GR car boot sale stands out for its exceptional location: the quays of the Port of Argelès-sur-Mer, one of the busiest marinas on the Roussillon coast. The organiser, the ARGELES GR association, sets up exhibitors along the waterfront, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving bargain hunters a setting that is both practical and spectacular. Private sellers offer everyday items, clothes, children's toys, crockery, books, trinkets, small furniture and collectibles, for all budgets. Strolling between the stalls is also an opportunity to admire the moored sailboats and breathe in the sea air of the bay.

Argelès-sur-Mer is the largest seaside resort on the French Catalan coast and one of the most popular in the south-west. With its seven kilometres of fine sandy beaches bordered to the south by the first foothills of the Albères, the commune welcomes several hundred thousand visitors every year. The marina, inaugurated in 1970, now has more than 760 berths and is one of the largest ports in the western Mediterranean. Around the basin, restaurants, terraces and shops liven up the promenade and naturally extend the car boot sale experience for families and tourists.
