The Brocante d'Ars-en-Ré: treasure hunting at the foot of the bell tower

The Ars-Spectacles association organizes two flea markets a year on Place Carnot in Ars-en-Ré, in June and August. This exceptional setting, at the foot of the Saint-Étienne church whose black and white painted bell tower serves as a landmark for sailors, gives the flea market incomparable charm. 50 to 100 exhibitors set up their stalls around the church and on the square, creating a picturesque treasure hunting route in the heart of the village.

A village of artists and treasure hunters

Ars-en-Ré is renowned for its artistic character and bohemian atmosphere. Its narrow streets lined with hollyhocks, its art galleries, and its designer boutiques make it a favorite spot for lovers of beautiful things. The flea market naturally fits into this tradition, offering treasure hunters the opportunity to find original pieces in an authentically Rétais setting.

Practical information

The August flea market is held on Place Carnot, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Entry is free. Exhibitor fees are 5 euros per linear meter for individuals (5 linear meters maximum) and 8 euros per linear meter for professionals (6 linear meters maximum). Registration is required at least 15 days before the event, by email. Parking is outside the town.
