Annual car boot sale for the benefit of the association Les Amis des Chats Libres de Beignon
The association Les Amis des Chats Libres de Beignon organizes an annual car boot sale at the multi-purpose hall in the village, rue de Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan. The event, open from 9 am to 6 pm with free entry, helps fund the association's actions for stray cats in the commune.
Beignon is a rural commune of about 1,800 inhabitants, located in eastern Morbihan, at the gates of the famous Coëtquidan military camp which houses the Saint-Cyr schools. The village, surrounded by forests and heathlands, retains a peaceful and authentic character. The commune is also known for its proximity to the Brocéliande forest, a legendary site of Arthurian legend.
The profits from the car boot sale are entirely dedicated to the sterilization, care, and feeding of the commune's stray cats. The association, recognized for its fieldwork, uses this event to raise public awareness about the cause of stray cats and present its activities.
