52nd edition of the great Brion flea market, 400 exhibitors in the heart of Berry
The Brocante de Brion is a historic event in the Indre department. With its 52nd edition in 2026, it is among the oldest flea markets in the Centre-Val de Loire region. Each year, nearly 400 exhibitors — flea market professionals and private individuals — take over the streets and squares of the village to offer a considerable selection of items: antique furniture, earthenware, trinkets, books, tools, vinyl records, linens, toys, and a thousand curiosities. Bargain hunters come from all over Berry and beyond to explore this generous market, which stretches for several hundred meters.
Brion is a rural commune of about 400 inhabitants located between Argenton-sur-Creuse and La Châtre, in the south of Indre. The village is set in a hilly hedgerow landscape typical of Boischaut Sud, with its live hedges, meadows, and small valleys. The Romanesque church and the limestone houses give the village an authentic charm. The festival committee, the historic organizer of the flea market, has been enlivening community life for decades with remarkable dedication.
With its 400 exhibitors, the Brion flea market offers a density and diversity of items rarely found in small rural communes. The refreshment stand and on-site catering allow visitors to spend the whole day hunting for treasures. Parking is organized on the outskirts of the village. Admission is free for visitors.
