31st edition of the flea market and car boot sale of Palluau-sur-Indre, a listed village in the Indre valley
For over 30 years, the flea market of Palluau-sur-Indre has been a must-attend event for bargain hunters in the Indre region at the start of autumn. For its 31st edition, the event unfolds in the village center from 7:30 AM to 6 PM, with professional and private exhibitors offering antique furniture, trinkets, tableware, books, toys, tools, vintage clothing, and collectible items. The longevity of this event attests to its success and the residents' attachment to this tradition.
Palluau-sur-Indre is a village of about 900 inhabitants nestled in a meander of the Indre river, between Buzançais and Châtillon-sur-Indre. The village is dominated by the remains of its 11th-century fortress, with its imposing keep and ramparts. The Romanesque Saint-Laurent church, old stone houses, and the shaded banks of the Indre form a remarkable heritage ensemble that makes this village one of the jewels of the valley.
The flea market of Palluau-sur-Indre offers a unique experience: hunt for treasures within the walls of a medieval village, by the water, in an authentically Berrichon atmosphere. Food is available on-site and admission is free.
