Agricultural flea market and farmer's market in La Chapelle-Orthemale, 125 exhibitors in Brenne berrichonne
The agricultural flea market of La Chapelle-Orthemale is a unique event that combines the world of antiques and local produce. Around 125 exhibitors — exclusively individuals — take over the village to offer old tools, agricultural equipment, rural furniture, country dishes, garden tools, trinkets, toys and objects from yesteryear. In parallel, a farmer's market presents the products of the Berry region: goat cheeses, honeys, jams, cured meats, vegetables and local specialties. The pitch is €12 per stand (5m x 5m with vehicle). Exhibitors arrive at 7:30 am, departure from 5 pm.
La Chapelle-Orthemale is a rural commune of about 300 inhabitants located northwest of Châtillon-sur-Indre, in the region of Brenne. This territory, nicknamed the 'land of a thousand ponds', is renowned for its exceptional biodiversity and is part of the Regional Natural Park of Brenne. The village retains an intact rural heritage with its church and traditional farms. Agricultural life remains at the heart of this commune's identity, which explains the agricultural dimension of its flea market, unique in its kind in the department.
The flea market is held on the 3rd Sunday of September in the village. Admission is free. 125 exhibitors (individuals only). Farmer's market in parallel. Contact town hall: 02 54 84 21 06.
