Retournac is a unique commune in the Haute-Loire flea market scene: each week, from April to September, it offers not one but two free weekly car boot sale events. On Sunday mornings on Place Boncompain, and on Saturday mornings at the SNCF station car park, residents can freely sell their second-hand items.

Two Locations, Two Atmospheres

Place Boncompain, in the heart of the village of Retournac, is the location for the Sunday car boot sale. An open and friendly space, this central square hosts exhibitors and visitors every Sunday morning in a lively urban setting. The SNCF station car park, on the other hand, offers a more spacious area, practical for exhibitors wishing to display furniture or numerous items. These two complementary locations make Retournac a village exceptionally well-equipped with local car boot sales.

Free and Unrestricted

The principle is simple and appealing: registration is free, 5 linear meters are offered to each seller, and there is no need to pay anything. The only requirement is to register at the town hall before Friday 5 pm for the following weekend. This generous model, rare in France, was launched by the municipality of Retournac to liven up the village and encourage reuse.
