Each year, at the end of May or beginning of June, the town of Retournac in Haute-Loire hosts one of the region's finest car boot sales: the grand car boot sale on the Loire banks. Organized by the Comité des Fêtes Retournacois, this event brings together around 300 exhibitors along the Loire riverbanks, at 48 chemin du Camping, offering an exceptional natural setting for this popular event.

300 exhibitors without prior reservation

The event is distinguished by its open access policy: no reservation is necessary to exhibit. Pitches are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, which explains the influx of the most determined exhibitors starting at 4:30 AM. With around 300 stalls, the market offers an incredible diversity of goods: antique furniture, tableware, books, vinyl records, toys, clothing, tools, trinkets, and various curiosities.

Progressive pricing based on pitch size

The pricing system is progressive: €10 for 5 meters, €18 for 10 meters, and €25 for 15 meters. This rate is particularly advantageous for exhibitors who wish to display many items or bulky furniture. The smaller pitches at €10 are accessible to all individuals wishing to clear out their attics without breaking the bank.
