The Spring Attic Sale, a major village event

Every year in May, the Villiers Community Center (FAV) organizes the Spring Attic Sale, the emblematic flea market of Villiers-le-Mahieu. Set up on Rue des Prés, in the heart of the village, the event brings together around 110 private exhibitors for a day of browsing that traditionally opens the flea market season in the Montfort-l'Amaury canton.

A flea market with character

With its 110 exhibitors on average, the Spring Attic Sale offers a fine range of items in the pure tradition of village flea markets: clothing for the whole family, children's toys, antique tableware, books, board games, small appliances, tools, vinyl records, trinkets and small furniture.

The FAV, driving force of village life

The FAV (Villiers Community Center) is the driving force behind the cultural and festive life of Villiers-le-Mahieu. Beyond the Spring Attic Sale, it organizes activities and events throughout the year. Registration for exhibitors traditionally opens in early April via the fav78.fr website.

Villiers-le-Mahieu, a peaceful village between forest and châteaux

Villiers-le-Mahieu is a small rural town of around 500 inhabitants located in the triangle formed by Montfort-l'Amaury, Thoiry and Houdan. The village is notably known for its château, a superb 17th and 18th century building now converted into a hotel-restaurant. Nearby, the famous Thoiry African reserve is a great destination.

A day in the rural Yvelines

The Spring Attic Sale takes place outdoors on Rue des Prés, from 9am to 6pm. The atmosphere, typical of country flea markets, is relaxed and family-friendly, with refreshments and light catering on site.
