La Main Tendue's charitable rendezvous in the heart of the village
Villelaure is a small residential village in southern Vaucluse, nestled between the Durance and the foothills of the Luberon, near Pertuis and La Tour-d'Aigues. In this quiet setting, the La Main Tendue association organises each year a flea market in the village streets. An event designed as a moment of social connection as much as a bargain-hunting opportunity.
The organising association supports local solidarity and families in difficulty. Proceeds from the flea market fund the association's actions: occasional aid, food parcels, shared activities. Buying at the stalls benefits both the hunters and a great village cause.
Private-sellers' brocante: family bric-a-brac, children's and adult clothing, toys, books, Provençal tableware, linen, small furniture, decorative items, tools, sports gear. Sellers are mainly Villelaure inhabitants and neighbouring villagers.
